Wickes operates over 170 Home Improvement Centres throughout England,
Wales and Scotland.
A typical store covers between 26,000 and
29,000 sq.ft., selling over 5,000 products to a core customer
base of serious DIYers and
professional tradespeople. As well as showroom displays (kitchens,
conservatories, bathrooms and bedrooms) Wickes has a distinct,
no-nonsense ‘heavy side’ offer, with the lowest prices
in the sector – which commands high customer loyalty.
Wickes stores are serviced not only by
full loads direct from suppliers, but also from three distribution
warehouses and a
home delivery centre.

The majority of colleagues within Wickes work
within our store teams, which are based all over the UK. These
stores are our main point of contact with our customers and are,
therefore, the most important part of our business.
Each store is run by a team of colleagues supported
by their management team: roles range from Design Consultants to
Warehouse Co-ordinators, Customer Assistants to Fork Lift Drivers,
Store Managers to Admin Managers.
