We are currently recruiting for a Conversion Optimisation Executive, who will be responsible for optimising the customer journey on our website. This role will sit in the Ecommerce Trading function. We are based in our Head Office in Watford, however we do offer flexible working with this role.

This new role will see you responsible for driving forward the Wickes Conversion Optimisation roadmap, playing a key part in delivering changes to the site that will help to improve our on-site customer experience and drive acquisition, revenue and conversion. The role requires being able to research, hypothesise, prioritise, test and implement new initiatives to provide the best possible experience to improve customer experience across our different types of customer segments; DIY, Local trade and Do-it-for-me. You will play a key part in developing improvements across the site to grow performance across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confident in your ability to create great experiences, you’ll work collaboratively across many teams in a fast moving environment with a great culture and high support.

  • Using various platforms including Google Analytics, Similar web and Hotjar to analyse trends to produce actionable insights, analyse results and make recommendations.

  • Plan and execute the UX, A/B & MVT testing strategy via Google Optimize.

  • Responsible for the CRO roadmap and confident with sharing information with stakeholders.

  • Continuous improvement, testing and learning, personalisation and roll out of best practices.

  • Manage, engage and brief an agency on new testing ideas and prioritisation in-line with roadmap.

  • Utilise analytic reports, surface trends and themes in the data and offer insight.

  • Monitor the performance of all testing, using an iterative approach, optimising and refining to work towards goals of improving web KPIs.

  • Use customer insight to enhance customer experience using data-backed hypothesis and ensure the customer is at the forefront of all of our decisions.

  • Be a team player and promote a culture of testing and learning in the business.

  • Cross-functional work with our creative and content team on creating new designs.

  • Work closely with Product Owner on implementing and developing winning tests.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in CRO, e-commerce merchandising/trading or a similar field

  • A passion for testing, data and UX that can inspire colleagues, wider teams and the business

  • Creative, innovative and willing to turn ideas into reality

  • Highly organised by nature and proficient in multitasking

  • High commercial acumen with a customer focused mindset

  • Experience in a fast-moving trading environment

  • Analytical with ability to ability to deliver insights and actions from data

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics or similar analytics tool
