Divisional Installations Manager - Field Based

We are thrilled to announce we are recruiting for a Divisional Installations Manager to join our team here at Wickes. This is a field based role therefore we are open to applications from all locations.


Role Purpose:


  • To lead and develop the Installation business within a specific Division ensuring profitability is maximised whilst quality and service levels meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

  • To ensure all field service level agreements are executed to the highest level and that the company remains legally compliant at all times.

  • To drive the uptake of the Installation Service within a Division, working closely with Regional Leaders and Divisional Directors.

  • To ensure there is adequate capacity within the installer network to meet the required volume of installations and complexity throughout each financial year.

  • To act as a significant contributor to the success of the Installation Service proposition on a Regional, Divisional and National basis.

  • To recruit, manage and develop a team of Regional Installation Managers ensuring maximum productivity and customer service standards at all times.

Understands what needs to be done; executes on objectives effectively and is focused on delivering timely, value adding results.  Focuses on delivery of a right first time culture at all times.  Ensures all KRAs and deliverables are met.

Commercially astute, utilising all financial resources, MI and technology available to apply decisive and robust commercial decisions in order to execute business propose, goals and objectives relevant to the role.

Shares information, experiences and ideas to ensure understanding.  Clear and effective communicator, both verbal and written who actively listens; is adept at disseminating information to others; is crisp, clear, articulate; keeps others informed of important issues, problems and status of projects in a timely manner.

Undertakes regular competitor and marketplace research to ensure the Wickes Installation proposition maintains a competitive edge and drives the service forward.


What are we looking for:

  • Experience of managing field based teams at a senior level within the services sector within the last 12-18 months

  • Responsibility for influencing and motivating others to contribute to the goals and success of the team and wider organisation  

  • Execution of business plans and objectives aligned to the wider business strategy

  • Responsibility for risk assessment and mitigation within an organisation

  • Working within different teams and understanding a variety of roles and responsibilities

  • Working on projects and used to taking ownership of own streams whilst demonstrating flexibility when required

  • Working with digitised platforms, apps and other technology in a similar role

  • You take on challenges and face risks by standing up for what you believe

  • You make pragmatic judgements based on practical thinking and previous experience

  • You take independent action to make things happen and achieve goals

  • You demonstrate passion and energy when communicating goals, beliefs, interests or ideas you feel strongly about

  • You come up with new ideas and original solutions to move things forward
