A little about the role…

We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager - Content & Assets. The role exists to ensure that all Wickes product data and image assets are of a high and consistent standard for effective use in all channels. This is a vital role and it is all based around  improving the customer journey, particularly online but also in printed publications.

Principle Accountabilities...

  • Management and maintenance of all Wickes data and image assets, ensuring that all comply with agreed standards and naming conventions

  • Development and management of a suite of guidelines for the submission of images and data for all product categories

  • Represent Wickes as part of the wider Group data improvement team and develop, manage and report on a product data improvement plan.

  • Work with Commercial teams and the Web Merchandising team to identify areas of concern and develop robust plans for product images, facets and features & benefits

  • Responsible for the sourcing and sign-off of images through either commercial / supply relationships or via approved photography studios

  • Responsible for the cross channel plan for product features & benefits to ensure consistency and relevance (i.e. the F&Bs for web may differ to those in a printed catalogue)

  • Control the photography budget for the Customer Experience team

  • Line management and development of a Marketing Assistant

What we are looking for in you?


  • Educated to A-Level standard

  • Marketing Qualification

  • Experience of working in a design and production environment, with specific experience in the following areas: Digital Asset Management, Workload Planning, Communication Planning, Artwork production, Print production, Brand Guardianship


  • Project management

  • Stakeholder management

  • Preparation of documents such as briefs and print sheets

  • Preparation and effective delivery of presentations

  • Proofreading

  • Google Apps

  • Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator (Adobe CS)
