The Role: Marketing Manager

A new and exciting role in the Showroom team within marketing, based in our friendly offices in Watford. “Showroom” is the name for our fast-growing, designed and installed, kitchen and bathroom business.

The role of Marketing Manager is very broad and is to develop and lead a number of exciting new Showroom marketing programmes; all helping to improve different aspects of our customer journey. You’ll be working with almost all of the teams in marketing, our agencies, and the wider business. You’ll land initiatives that work seamlessly for our colleagues, launch with impact for our customers and make a demonstrable improvement to our leads and

conversion metrics.


Here is an idea of some of the work you'd be getting involved with

  • Develop and own the plan to make sure that our customers are aware of the many different reasons why they should come to Wickes for their kitchen or bathroom project. This is an exciting project that will involve cross-functional working and content creation across all our paid, owned and earned channels.

  • Maximise the opportunity of customer reviews and UGC to help build trust in the Wickes Showroom business

  • Work with our Showroom PrHoduct Owner to ensure that IT development resource is provided where needed, and that we have a prioritised backlog of improvements based on customer priorities to optimise our customer journey.

  • Work with the CRM team to completely revamp our CRM strategy across email, SMS, social.

  • Investigate and develop proposals and business cases for new projects.


Experience required

  • Broad marketing comm experience minimum of 6 yrs

  • Must have worked in a multichannel environment and have a good understanding of most marketing channels especially email, POS, social, digital.

  • Worked with agencies and managed budgets

  • Creative flair

  • Good at analysis

  • Educated to degree level
