Packaging Manager

We are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting for a Packaging Manager to join our Marketing team, based in our Head Office in Watford. This is a brand new role to the business and will be responsible for the creative development of all Wickes packaging, from brief through to final delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the creative development of all Wickes packaging from initial concept to production.

• Initiate, develop and maintain robust processes and packaging guidelines to efficiently manage and deliver Wickes packaging requirements

• Develop new packaging guidelines that meet brand and technical requirements.

• Own relationships with production suppliers and printers to ensure the business is partnered with the most appropriate third-parties. 

• Cross-functional stakeholder management, including; developing effective working relationships and methods of communication with key influencers and stakeholders in other departments, such as commercial, QA and senior leadership teams. 

• Become the gatekeeper, challenging the status quo and striving for improvement in the development of packaging.  Become a key stakeholder and advocate of the Brand Guidelines, ensuring they are up to date and applied to all packaging, but also challenging them when required for your channel.

• Understanding and knowledge of the packaging process and the importance of sustainability and moving away from plastic heavy packaging solutions where required.

• Demonstrate Wickes’ behaviours, to support their own development goals and helping others to do so.
