A little about the role...

We are currently looking for a Product Owner - Optimisation to join our team.  Your role will be to lead and develop one or more of Wickes Digital Products; and the prioritisation of product development and roadmaps for those products. Also you will own the optimisation strategy and deliver measured results to prove the value in development of new product on Wickes digital platforms.  The Product Owner reports in to the MultiChannel Development Manager, forming part of the development and optimisation function within the Marketing team

This role will help drive forward ongoing optimisation and improvements in the customer experience across the multichannel customer platforms (web, app & digital in-store experiences)

Principle Accountabilities

  • Work within the Multichannel Development team to deliver key projects and develop digital products as prioritised by the Development Manager in order to increase the impact of WIckes Digital channels and grow its Multichannel capability

  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy - communicate the progress of product development within the Multichannel team and regularly to key stakeholders

  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories

  • Manage the relationship with the testing partner Monetate and testing roadmap and own the testing roadmap.

  • Feed recommendations in to the development backlog, to build the testing and development roadmap, supported by reporting circulated to multichannel team

  • Work with the Trading Optimisation manager to identify, execute and measure ecommerce test strategies which help to step-change the performance of our key KPI’s

  • Deliver monthly reporting and plans to communicate progress on testing and steer the prioritisation of future tests - working collaboratively with Development, Trading and Marketing teams to ensure a balance of activity across all key areas of the team

What we are looking for in you?

  • Multi-variant testing experience

  • Backlog and prioritisation management experience

  • Previous experience of managing relationships with external suppliers

  • Ability to take a logical approach to resolve issues/pain points for online experiences

  • Familiar with HTML/CSS/JQuery

  • Good problem solving skills.

  • Ability to recommend multiple solution to an issue

  • Excellent relationship building skills, essential for working with internal and external customers and suppliers

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • An ‘out of the box’ thinker

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working for a multichannel retailer or online only retailer

  • Experience of working in an Agile environment

  • Qualification in coding language

  • Knowledge of MVT testing solution
