We are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting for a brand new role, a Quality Control Supervisor. This role will sit within the Installations Department and will be responsible for 5 direct reports.
The purpose of this role involves supporting the design and delivery of operating procedures, ensuring inspected installations comply with Wickes processes, and supporting with the day to day operation of the Installation Apprenticeship Programme.
Although the office is based in Northampton, we are open to considering applications from candidates based in the Midlands area.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage installation standards via monitoring and the application of risk management methodology.
Ensure installation teams are compliant with all appropriate Health & Safety, legislative and business requirements.
Implement a continuous improvement culture within existing installation service levels.
Understand and match the needs of our customers, our business and our installers.
Support the management of remedial cost control through remote site inspections.
Provide support to the store network, customer services, our customers and installations teams as required.
Implement high levels of customer service that support our Institute of Customer Service action plan.
Support the maintenance of all compliance and industry specific regulations.
Support the maintenance of departmental contracts, ways of working and documentation.
Escalate and appropriate identified incidents/issues on site that impact product quality, integrity, housekeeping and safe working practices.
Track and monitor compliance in order to measure any impact to delivered sales; provide regular updates to the management team so identified issues can be addressed promptly.
Provide support to the Apprentice Programme Team Leaders to ensure all cohorts meet the required standards and complete their programmes in full and on time.
Provide support for apprentice recruitment and onboarding to ensure recruitment targets are met.
Collaborate with management to discuss and agree resolution of identified installer issues.
Organise, track and monitor supplier training for both the apprenticeship programme and installation department colleagues.
Accompany internal support teams on installer assessments as and when required.
What are we looking for:
Qualification & Experience:
Worked within the Services Sector within the last 18 months in a similar Quality Supervisor role
Working with digitised platforms, apps and other technology in a similar role
Using own initiative, working at pace to tight deadlines
Working within different teams and understanding a variety of roles and responsibilities
Working on projects and used to taking ownership of own streams whilst demonstrating flexibility when required
Good numeracy skills and commercial awareness
Effective letter writing and report compilation
Skills & Attributes:
Effective communication including listening skills
Interpersonal skills- able to build strong working relationships quickly
Ability to follow instructions and produce accurate work
Ability to assess and mitigate risk for the business
Problem solving and decision making
Ability to work collaboratively and carry out tasks effectively
Prioritise workload and determine appropriate course of action
Knows when to seek help, support and advice
Knowledge:
