The Role:

We are looking for an established Recruitment Business Partner to join our team in Watford to help us ensure that as well as finding the best candidates via a variety of sourcing methods for roles in our support centre, whilst also supporting our hiring managers by ensuring they have a fantastic set of tools to help them recruit and onboard their new hire.

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage and own full-cycle recruitment across Head Office and Support Functions
  • Driving continuous improvement of the resourcing function
  • Offering a consultative approach to your key stakeholders
  • Strong direct sourcing methodology across a number of job boards, networking and social channels
  • Creation and updating of all relevant recruitment collateral
  • Building strong relationships with supplier PSL to ensure they are representative of Wickes culture and values
  • Utilising the ATS to its full capacity to manage process and build talent pipelines
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Promote the company’s reputation as “a great place to work

The successful applicant 

  • Relevant internal recruitment experience, ideally within retail or hospitality

  • Advanced knowledge of ad writing, boolean searching and ATS systems

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities, able to work to a fast pace with accuracy

  • High level of analytical and system skills; Intermediate Excel skills, PC literate

  • Identify opportunities to improve process for both internal stakeholders and also from a candidate perspective

  • Ability to manage time effectively

  • Excellent communication skills – able to build meaningful relationships with both external candidates and internal stakeholders
