The role
The Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis (FR&A) develops and implements strategic and financial plans to meet the business’s short, medium and long-term goals and objectives. The Manager, FR&A interprets and reports on key financial and operating metrics to measure success towards meeting the business’s goals and to identify potential issues or risks. The Manager will also be solely responsible for all consolidated reporting both internally and externally for the whole of Wickes.

What you’ll be doing
  • To lead, design and maintain the strategic planning model and create scenario planning functionalities. Be the key contact for all other areas of finance (such as Financial Planning, Investor Relations and etc
  • Managing the monthly operational accounting to trial balance, including month end procedures of the accounts in preparation for the Financial Controller to review
  • To ensure that the financial results of the business are reported accurately and on time both monthly and at half year and full year
  • Complete and manage all investor relation queries and information requests
  • To own completion of the monthly Board Packs - including enhancing and developing the Board Packs for content and efficiencies
  • Prepare and issue competitor and market analysis for the business and specifically the Board 
  • Assist in improvements in financial reporting, systems and processes
What we are looking for  
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA) with a minimum of 3 years experience from a similar background
  • Financial Accounting and reporting experience with solid experience of reporting 
  • Full areas of accounting including IFRS/UK GAAP 
  • Sound understanding of budgeting, cashflows and revenue impacts for integrated modelling (impacts on P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflows)
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Competent Microsoft Word user
  • Analytical ability
  • Stakeholder management
  • Competent modelling skills and experience
