New Stores and Refits Night Support Manager - National Role (12 months FTC)

We are seeking a New Stores and Refits Night Support Manager to oversee and execute our night-time refit operations across the country, for a period of 12 months.

This is a national role with a mandatory requirement for the successful candidate to hold a full UK Driving Licence as well as an FLT Licence (Counterbalance & Reach trucks). A company car will be provided if the candidate does not own one.

Shift Pattern Overview:
The typical pattern is 8 weeks per store, working 4 consecutive 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) followed by 4 consecutive days off (4 on, 4 off). This pattern may occasionally include weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Health and Safety is placed as the highest priority at all times throughout the project.
  • Ensure all company policy and procedures are adhered too at all times
  • Ensuring all external and internal contractors are fully briefed on our policies and expectations
2. Implement and execute project plans from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met. Escalating issues as necessary
  • Ability to understand and  interpret merchandising plans and implement on a nightly basis.
  • Understands the principles of merchandising standards and product ordering, cost efficiency
3. Be a point of contact for the refit manager and contractors (internal and external) throughout night
  • Understands and can identify who stakeholders are
  • Responds to requests/questions/concerns from stakeholders in a timely manner
4. A regular presence in the refit store is essential, so mobility and the ability to travel is essential. 
  • Comfortable leading in a high pressure, high activity environment
  • Understands and is comfortable that this is a national role and will require travelling and staying away from home.
5. Make the refit journey a great experience for both our colleagues and customers 
  • Understands the needs of colleagues and customers during a refit
  • Identifies pinch and pressure points before they occur and takes action to mitigate.
  • Acts as a positive role model at all times during the refit

What are we looking for:
  • Experience of refits and new stores environments (preferred)
  • Good working knowledge of Business policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Principles of Merchandising Standards and product ordering & cost efficiency
  • Relevant IT skills
  • Ability to effectively forward plan
  • Excellent communicator
  • First aider
