The team:
The Commercial team are our product experts. They’re the ones who decide what sits on our shelves, from the latest kitchen designs to the best value bags of cement. You’ll be helping us research the latest trends, check out what the competition is doing, and learn the art of negotiation. It’s about making sure we have the right products, at the right price, sourced the right way.
You'll learn:
- The journey of a product: from an idea in a factory to a shelf in our stores.
- How we ensure our products are sourced ethically and sustainably.
- The strategy behind pricing: how we make sure we’re always giving our customers a great deal.
What you’ll do:
- Spend time with Buying teams, including competitor analysis for key products.
- Understand the world of planograms and how to merchandise a bay of products, putting the project at heart of the decision process.
- Getting hands on with the products and learning about product testing and ensuring the product is safe for customers to use.
Who we’re looking for:
What matters most to us is your positive attitude and potential. And you’d need the following:
- Be 16 years or over
- A positive energy and you like a fast-paced environment!
- You’re curious about how business works
- You’ve got good communication skills
What we offer:
Our work experience is a voluntary placement focused on your personal development. While there is no salary, we’ll cover for your lunch and travel each day.
