Programme overview
Our training is structured so you receive a strong foundation in finance and accounting while preparing you for a fast-moving industry. You’ll work through key areas of the business, supported by experienced finance professionals who’ll help you grow your skills, confidence, and career.
The culture is really friendly. We have literally had lunch with managers and even the CFO. Everyone’s really approachable
Length of our programme
The 3-to-4-year scheme, which varies in length based on your qualification exemptions, works towards you becoming a qualified accountant. Upon completion, you’ll have the skills, experience, and professional qualification necessary for career progression.Subject to performance, we’ll be considering successful candidates for permanent finance management roles within Wickes. By the end of our programme, you’ll be a qualified accountant.

Who we’re looking for
You're about to graduate or are a school leaver with a strong academic record, including a minimum of 3 Bs at A-Level (or equivalent) and grade 7 or above in both Maths and English at GCSE.
You’ve a real appetite to learn
You’ve a strong interest in finance and accounting and you’re not afraid to ask questions
You’re a confident communicator, you enjoy working with others and building relationships
You like to get involved in various projects, extra-curricular activities and learn new skills
