We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our operations team based at our head office in Watford. 

The purpose of the role will be to deliver financial analysis, reporting and ad-hoc financial support this role will also help develop and deliver an efficient month end process. 

The ideal candidate will be either a graduate or part qualified in CIMA/ACCA and looking to complete their professional studies. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Management accounting for Stores and Operations (including Development Property costs, Salary costs, Store Variable costs),accountable for the month-end processes including accruals & prepayments, generation of P&Ls, variance analysis and commentary.
  • Full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations including the analysis of risks and opportunities and monthly review with the Head of Operations Finance.
  • Supporting the Store Business Partnering teams by responding to P&L queries in a timely manner.
  • Risk and opportunities tracking for store costs. Proactively looking forward to identifying and managing financial risks and opportunities.
  • Reporting - ensuring accuracy of reports and to provide data to the Operations and Property team
  • Full ownership of assigned areas of the store P&L, acting as a trusted business partner to guide and support in informed financial decision-making.
  • Cross functional working eg with VAT & FA teams to assist with any queries or analysis, to help the smooth, efficient working of the Finance function.

What we are looking for:

  • Graduate or Part qualified in CIMA/ACCA, looking to
  • complete their professional studies.
  • Keen to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Some experience of business partnering.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and insight from data analysis.
  • Some understanding of analysis tools.
  • Good time management and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Hard working and proactive.
  • Enthusiastic and inquisitive.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Capable of providing drive and bringing passion to the role.
