We’re currently looking for a Marketing Manager to look after publications and leaflets to join the Marketing team on an FTC for 12 months to  ensure that all publications are aligned to the Wickes brand. 

You’ll be responsible for the creative development and production of all Wickes publications including promotional leaflets and seasonal flyers ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget and are aligned to the Wickes brand.

Reporting to our Senior Marketing Manager,  this role will require both internal and external stakeholder management, as well as being responsible for publication budgets and manage the entire end to end process of all publication creation, from brief to distribution.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the creative development and production of all publications, including promo leaflets and seasonal flyers, ensuring they are on time and in budget

  • Manage the end to end process from initial brief to delivery in store, working closely with in-house studio and external suppliers

  • Initiate, develop and maintain robust processes to efficiently manage and deliver the publication production workload planner, including tracking & reporting on run rates ensuring stock levels are maintained at all times

  • Own relationships with production suppliers and printers to ensure the business is partnered with the most appropriate third-parties, and budgets are used to achieve the best and most appropriate value for money in this area

  • Be the brand gatekeeper, ensuring all creative is to brand guidelines. 

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure all trend led photography and CGI imagery is created within the brief and brand guidelines 

  • Own and manage publications budget. Produce accurate phasing by period and report on cost savings/overspends throughout the year

  • Cross-functional stakeholder management, including; developing effective working relationships and methods of communication with key influencers and stakeholders in other departments, such as Commercial, the wider Marketing department and Retail Operations

  • Lead the relationships with external suppliers ensuring the full brief and scope of project is delivered on time and on budget.


What we’re looking for

  • Ideally educated to A-level or graduate degree

  • Strong creative eye, being comfortable in presenting this with stakeholders

  • Specific experience in a design and production environment and preferably within; workload planning, communication planning, artwork production, print production, brand guardianship

  • Project management and strong stakeholder management

  • Attention to detail and proofreading

  • Working knowledge of photoshop and illustrator (Adobe CS)
