We are seeking a proactive Cash & Banking Analyst to join our Finance team for a 12-month period.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing support to our stores regarding all banking inquiries and requests. You will be required to produce and ensure the accuracy of bank reconciliations for specific bank accounts and subsequently present these reconciliations to management. This is an exciting role with scope to engage in problem-solving and utilise your experience to review and improve current processes where possible.


This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be in our Watford office every Tuesday & Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Support: Act as the main banking contact for a large number of store locations (approx. 60), providing essential advice and guidance, and resolving related P&L inquiries to ensure financial statement accuracy.
  • Reconciliations & Reporting: Produce and ensure the accuracy of bank reconciliations for specific bank accounts, including preparing balance sheet reconciliations and all related journal postings for month-end.  As an experienced analyst you will be assigned the larger and more complicated reconciliations.
  • Cash Management: Look after cash books, ensuring they are up to date and that all issues are investigated and dealt with promptly. This also includes looking after store change deliveries and reconciling them against Loomis reporting and bank statements, and coordinating with Loomis regarding failed cash collections.
  • Process Execution: Complete weekly processes such as Change & DF's, and assist with raising Payit payments and VAT receipts, and performing bank statement uploads.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stores, design consultants, and internal teams across the wider business.
  • Finance Administration: Assist the team with the administration and processing of consumer credit loans for Kitchen & Bathroom Finance, including managing loan agreements, dealing with store finance queries, and liaising with finance providers.
  • Support, Process Improvement, and Mentorship: Provide support to the Cash & Banking Manager as a collaborative team member. Review and enhance current processes where feasible.  Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

  • Confident working with and understanding Bank Recs (Preferred)
  • Good Excel skills such as use of SUMIFS & VLOOKUPS
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator and be comfortable to build strong relationships
  • Good attention to detail
