We are looking to recruit a Data and Reporting Manager to effectively lead the DIFM (Do It For Me) proposition across all aspects of reporting and data analysis; liaise between internal and external customers, third party suppliers, our network of stores and distribution teams to successfully action any requests in support of the installation service.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Lead the creation and delivery of a reporting framework across installations, working in collaboration with the Field and Central Operations teams

  • Manage daily reporting of departmental and company performance, trackers and returns as required to support achieving SLAs and targets 

  • Ensure senior management have robust reporting and analysis required to make informed decisions

  • Track and monitor department performance using internal reporting systems, trackers and agreed processes

  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement reports in support of the Installation strategy and DIFM business plan across the wider business

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reports, as appropriate to Senior Management, as required

  • Ensure monthly performance reporting analysis and Board reporting are produced in a timely manner

  • Support the cost of failure opportunity across the department

  • Lead by example and support the development of the team to be more commercially aware

  • Demonstrate leadership behaviours across the team; manage and motivate employees to deliver high performance results

  • Ensure the team’s resources and workloads are being effectively utilised, delivering within agreed timescales

  • Lead, coach and manage the team’s development ensuring each has their own personal development plan

  • Ensure that the appropriate structure, systems and processes are in place for effective data handling, management and ongoing improvement 

  • Analyse data for possible inconsistencies that may skew analytical results; highlighting any risk and mitigation to Senior Management and Customers

  • Apply best practices when storing, organising, cleaning and mining data

  • Ensure that the department’s data management protocols are in line with regulatory standards

  • Ensure plans in place to cover holiday and a robust succession plan to maintain continuity  of reporting requirements to mitigate business risk   


What are we looking for:

  • Minimum of 18 months experience of managing and supervising reporting orientated teams

  • Planning and forecasting team resource requirements

  • Able to understand trends and environmental impacts to communicate and forecast business performance and risks

  • Able to communicate and create comms ref data insights relevant to stakeholder   

  • Multiple IT Systems

  • Working with digitised platforms, apps and other technology in a similar role

  • Knowledge of reporting and basic formulas 

  • Knowledge of google and basic functions

  • Using own initiative, working at pace to tight deadlines

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead in a fast-changing and flexible environment

  • Ability to review and analyse data and create reports as required 

  • Good numeracy skills and commercial awareness

  • Effective communication including listening skills

  • Interpersonal skills- able to build strong working relationships quickly

  • Ability to lead,develop, coach and mentor team

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to build reports to mitigate risk for the business

  • Ability to understand operational challenges and issues and to help to deliver profitable / scalable / operational solutions

  • Ability to assess and mitigate risk for the business

  • Prioritise workload and determine appropriate course of action

  • Ability to work collaboratively and carry out tasks effectively

  • Foster an environment of teamwork to ensure all reports are delivered on time
