Bathroom Installation Apprenticeships

Launch your new career with our industry-leading apprenticeship programme

The first of its kind, our Bathroom Installation Apprenticeship is a great way to gain the skills, experience and knowledge to become an installer for Wickes. And the first step to you setting up your own business. 

During your apprenticeship, you will work alongside a Wickes Approved Installer to fit and install Wickes bathrooms into our customers’ homes.

This gives you a great chance to experience the working environment and put all of your learning into practice. This will be complimented with specific training sessions by our dedicated training provider.

Prepare, transport and handle all materials needed in installing a kitchen or bathroom

Prepare and work in different locations and bathroom specifications

Essential plumbing and tiling skills

Utilise all the required power tools

Carry out rectification work & Build great customer relationships

How to set up and build your own career as an installer.

    • We have different start dates throughout the year depending on our current installer partners who are able to offer an apprenticeship opportunity.
    • You will need to have a full driving licence and access to a car before the start of the programme.
      You will be on an 18 month fixed term contract to complete the apprenticeship qualification. Upon successful completion you will be supported to start your own business.
      You will need to present your highschool certificates illustrating an achieved grade of A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
    • Apprenticeships are a government initiative and the way apprenticeships are funded varies across the devolved nations.
  • Working hours and days are Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week which does include commuting time.
  • Fitted furniture Installation level 2 and English/Maths Level 1 (if applicable)
  • The Wickes apprenticeship team will discuss with you the option of becoming a Wickes approved Installer.
  • You will have a dedicated team leader that you will communicate with throughout the programme and they will be your first point of contact and access to the Wickes Apprenticeship Team. You will have a designated installer who you will work with on a daily basis. Learning how to handle projects from start to finish. WEBS Training provider will deliver all the apprenticeship training and ensure you have all the skills you need to be a competent employer by the end of the programme.
  • Financially? Nothing. Our apprenticeship training is financed by our company levy. We’ll also cover any expenses that relate to your learning. All we ask in return is your commitment to the programme and the time you dedicate to the learning and development of your career. It should be a win-win arrangement. You gain skills and knowledge and put these to good use to drive performance across your business area and we benefit from you delivering projects that positively impact what we do. We often talk about the ‘family feel’ at Wickes.
