Due to continued growth we have exciting opportunities for Category C Drivers to join our Kitchen and Bathroom Home Delivery network at our Northampton Distribution Centre.
Salary £31,824 + Bonus of up to £75 per week + Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
To assist with the safe delivery of kitchens, bathrooms and other materials within company policies and procedures and to customer satisfaction
To ensure that the load is checked prior to departure from site and that documentation is present on the vehicle, and stock is correctly identified and the POD signed by the customer
Main delivery crew point of contact for customer service agents. Ensure that any issues at the point of delivery are promptly communicated to customer services with the main aim of ensuring that the customer is satisfied
Operate the PDA unit in line with company procedures
To maintain a good product knowledge
To maintain the highest standard of customer service at all times
A real team player who can build a great working relationship with his delivery porter
A comfortable communicator who can build rapport with our end customer - you will be the voice and image of Wickes
What are we looking for?
Basic Maths/English
Basic IT skills
Geographical knowledge
Working knowledge of WTD regulations
Good verbal communication skills
Cat C driving licence
Previous experience in a home delivery role desired but not essential as full training will be provided
A team player who is able to build strong working relationships
The role can be physically demanding with some lifting involved, so a good level of physical fitness is required
