As part of a transformation programme into a standalone PLC business and the build of a new tech team, Wickes are looking for a Head of Enterprise Engineering. This role will lead and ensure successful delivery of our engineering, testing, and environment functions, as well as leading the successful delivery of a series of technical projects.

The Head of Enterprise Engineering will be responsible for engineering teams including: integration engineering, microservice engineering, and legacy system engineering, as well as testing teams and environments teams.
Candidates will work closely with other IT programme and project leads to shape the pipeline of work, provide governance and oversight across the above teams, and act as an escalation point for issues and challenges.
You will work with senior management and other stakeholders to ensure work is correctly prioritised and expectations are understood and managed successfully. You’ll also represent engineering in all strategic planning and delivery discussions, and you’ll look to optimise costs, and input into budgets and forecasts.
We’re looking for candidates who have experience in senior roles across technology departments, and who have experience of line management responsibilities. A blend of IT, financial and good communication skills is essential. You will have a good understanding of current and emerging technologies, and how these support driving digital businesses.
