Health & Safety Coordinator

Here at Wickes we are thrilled to announce we are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator.

This role ensures accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting within Wickes ensuring the data is accurate, plays an important part of our assurance process and undertakes trend analysis from data mining to help the businesses make the right decisions in relation to HSE improvement decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure data in the incident report systems is accurate and updated, fulfilling the relevant gatekeeper role outlined in the Safety Performance Measures definitions document.

• Compile accurately specific monthly scorecards providing initial commentary based on the trends identified

• Support the Head of Safety in the completion of Safety Performance Reports to the Wickes Board and annual strategy review.

• Manage the identification and resolution of bugs and improvements to the Notify system, ensuring that the contract is managed in line with the agreed budget and maximises value for the business.

• Support the Stay Safe team in data mining and hypothesis testing to aid informed HSE improvement decision making.

• Respond to HSE related queries, escalating issues accordingly to the Store Support team or the relevant member of the Stay Safe Team as necessary

• Complete general HSE related administration 

What are we looking for:

• Minimum 5 GCSEs

• NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred)

• Deep understanding of Health and Safety reporting requirements and systems

• Advanced level Excel

• Resilience

• Agile
