Wickes is looking for New Stores and Refit Night Support Managers to work nationwide on our new store and refit projects. Working on a 4 on 4 off basis (generally 19.00-07.00) you’ll manage and implement our refit activity overnight in our new and refit stores.
Although we try our best to place you on the projects closest to you, this is a nationwide role attending sites wherever their location may be. We’ll accommodate you during this time comfortably and provide a generous evening meal allowance. You’ll also be provided with a car for travel. Refit activity typically last 8 weeks per store
As the Night Support Manager you’ll:
Ensure Health and Safety is placed as the highest priority at all times throughout the project
Implement and execute project plans from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met, escalating issues as necessary
Be a point of contact for the refit manager and contractors (internal and external) throughout night
Make the refit journey a great experience for both our colleagues and customers
Manage up to 8 external contractors
What we’re looking for:
Ideally experience in new stores or refit programmes
Ability to manage and coach external merchandisers and contractors
Excellent communication skills
Good knowledge of IT systems
Flexibility to adjust to changing plans as well as forward planning
FLT Licence - counterbalance and reach
First Aid trained
Understanding principles of merchandising and product ordering
