We are thrilled to announce we are looking to recruit a Pricing Administrator to join our Commercial Operations Data Team. Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the Commercial teams and the wider business by delivering business critical analysis, allowing the business to practice data led decision making. Achieve this by clear and concise communication of occasionally complex information, suitable for various audiences, to support the commercial teams on a wide variety of areas.

Key Responsibilities:

To manage requests in all elements data changes, and the identification of any data quality rules associated in delivering business data changes

To own and maintain the structure and contents of Wickes Product Information Management system (PIM)
The role is responsible for collation and creation of Data standards and guidelines ensuring the quality of all data throughout the change management process, ensuring changes are prioritised and co-ordinated across business units, suppliers and users when the changes are implemented
To agree and implement global data rules in line with agreed governance procedures and communicate rules to business stakeholders

Review of Data Quality Standards and helps to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements as well as reviewing and following Global Data Standards

Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements with the aim of Improving Data Quality

Working with and assisting users and suppliers in adding, updating and deleting data, attributes and changes to the Hierarchy structures

To ensure that work coming into the department is prioritised checked for accuracy, and all queries answered before updates are made effective

To ensure tasks carried out in the department are completed in a timely & efficient manner maintaining the highest level of accuracy

To provide support and advice to Commercial and Web/Marketing with regards to the many and varied tasks that arise

To commit time to IT development and engineering teams and where applicable take on the role of a ‘product owner’ for Data Management where tools and functionality is required to benefit the development of the working function

To continually challenge existing processes and systems to deliver a more efficient and profitable operation
To ensure delivery of objectives

To enhance the reputation of the department for quality and high level of service
Developing and managing workflows in the creation & maintenance of product & structural data in support of the Data quality Strategy and providing support in delivering initiatives

The role requires innovative working, out of the box thinking and a common sense approach to ensure that work is completed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all trading functions throughout the business can continue to operate efficiently and profitably

The systems, procedures and data sets are complex, requiring high attention to detail in conjunction with a robust, pragmatic and results driven approach
This role requires the ability to work with initiative, applying good logic to problem solving and ensuring all end user implications are covered
Training will be provided in areas such as Talend, Hybris and PIM, but a good working knowledge data structuring tools is important

In managing requests, the role requires the ability to plan and prioritise tasks and providing updates and results highlighting data quality issues

Actively seek and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies across the department. Seeks and values feedback from peers & colleagues

This role will require a high level of analytic skill drawing on industry / consumer trends, customer feedback and web analytics to forge a best practice approach in delivering data change requests

The job holder will need to be able to grasp complex data relationships and assess the integrity of information and act accordingly to both prevent errors and ensure the highest levels of accuracy possible

Business critical workload planning, system development and working with developers

What are we looking for:

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, have good time management, enjoy problem solving and have a cheerful office demeanour. As a part of a hard working, dedicated team you will need the confidence to build relationships, be prepared to work at pace, hold your own under pressure and most of all not be afraid to get stuck in. We are also looking for:

Extensive administration or retail experience

Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised, methodical and has high attention to detail

IT project experience would be an advantage
Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Self-motivated and able to problem solve
Highly proficient in IT systems - MS Applications

Ability to understand and write technical documentation

Experience with MS Office and data programs

Familiarity with administrative duties

Experience using office equipment
Typing speed and accuracy
Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

Confidentiality
Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
