We are looking to recruit a Quality Control Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance team.
Although the office is based in Northampton, we do offer flexible working therefore we are open to accepting applications from those that live further away from Northampton.
Role Purpose:
To ensure all inspected installations comply with Wickes processes and procedures, manufacturer's instructions, British Standards, legal and health & safety requirements
To support the delivery of standard operating procedures and processes across the Installation Department
To support the quality control service to the Installation Department
To help develop installation teams, add value and minimise business risk
Key Accountabilities:
Manage installation standards via monitoring and the application of risk management methodology
Ensure installation teams are compliant with all appropriate Health and Safety, legislative and business requirements
Implement a continuous improvement culture within existing installation service levels.
Understand and match the needs of our customers, our business and our installers.
Support the management of remedial cost control through remote site inspections.
Provide support to the Store Network, Customer Services , our customers and installation teams
Implement high levels of customer service that support our ICS action plan
Support the maintenance of all compliance and industry specific regulations
Support the maintenance of departmental contracts, ways of working and documentation
Maintain a technical library that aims to encourage and develop the team, ensuring a continuous improvement cycle
Escalate as appropriate identified incidents / issues on site that impact product quality, integrity, housekeeping and safe working practices
Track and monitor compliance in order to measure any impact to delivered sales; provide regular updates to the management team so identified issues can be addressed promptly
Accompany Regional Installation Managers on installer assessments as and when required
Collaborate with the Regional Installation Managers to discuss and agree resolution of identified installer issues
Measuring installations methods and workmanship against Wickes ways of working guidelines and workmanship criteria.
Ensuring measurements and material usage follow initial plans
What are we looking for?
Worked within the Services Sector, specifically the Kitchen and Bathroom Market within the last 12 months or within a similar Quality role
Working with digitised platforms, apps and other technology in a similar role
Using own initiative, working at pace to tight deadlines
Working within different teams and understanding a variety of roles and responsibilities
Good numeracy skills and commercial awareness
Effective communication including listening skills
Ability to assess and mitigate risk for the business
Problem solving and decision making
Prioritise workload and determine appropriate course of action
