We are hiring! We are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager FP&A to join us to cover maternity. This is a very high profile finance role in the FP&A team and will play an integral part in delivering high quality reporting, performance analysis and forecasting to the Wickes CFO, Exec and PLC Board from ownership of cash flow forecasting and analysis as well as also owning marketing costs for Wickes and business partnering the Chief Marketing Officer and their leadership team. The role will also look after Wickes’ Capex plan and ROI as well as providing some investor relations support to the Director of Investor Relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage company forecasting (budgets / reforecasts / outlook) for cash flow. Create, drive and own the output and improvement of cash flow reporting through the cash flow model. Ensure all relevant stakeholders are engaged, challenged and held to account generating an accurate forecast. Help deliver exceptional papers for the Exec and PLC Board as part of this
Ownership of marketing costs - including month end and business partnering with the CMO and their team to manage the marketing budget and provide analysis to help improve marketing effectiveness
Own Wickes’ Capex plan in terms of what has been approved, timing of spend, ROI, budgets and forecasts. Help deliver exceptional papers for the Exec and PLC Board as part of this
Provide support for the Investor Relations Director and CFO - providing regular financial data and analysis to support the preparation of investor presentations, results statements and fact-packs for example and projects as and when required
Providing insightful reporting to help shape and deliver strategies of the wider business
Business partnering and proactively working with the wider business to improve knowledge on cash and highlight any areas of improvement efficiencies / savings / gains
When required, provide cover for the Finance Director - FP&A in their absence and/or provide cover for the other Senior Finance Manager - FP&A within the team
What are we looking for:
Recognised accountancy qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) (Essential)
3+ years PQE experience
Cash flow modelling and analysis experience
Retail / FMCG experience Experience in an FP&A (or similar) role
Financial modelling
Communication & Organisation
Building and maintaining relationships with finance and non finance
Calm under pressure
Ability to challenge & influence
Attention to detail
Articulation
Excellent analytical and modelling skills
Presentation skills
Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
Full understanding of P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
