We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Business Engagement to join our business, you’ll be working within our Tech Department and supporting the delivery of the services related to our Do It For Me programme (DiFM).  We want someone with ideas, ambition and vision. Reporting into our Director of Business Engagement, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with key business leaders in shaping our DiFM programme, ensuring that the Tech function can meet these needs with an appropriate catalogue of services and Tech solutions.  Operating as the business conscience with Tech and works closely with the Service Management Team and the broader Tech leadership team on communications and escalation of business-related issues/activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our DiFM business unit, you’ll be the connection between the business and technology teams to identify, design, develop and successfully implement programmes that make a difference to our customers and their experience of engaging with our brand. 
  • Open to collaborating and creating innovative solutions, based on proven knowledge of working within different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks. 
  • Proven experience of working closely with a range of internal stakeholders and reputed vendors. 
  • You will bring an understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, with a focus on the customer and improving the customer journey at business unit level. You will have a proven track record of business relationship management, project / programme management, and implementing large, complex, and innovative business solutions using technology. 
  • Operating as the business conscience with Tech and works closely with the Service Management Team and the broader Wickes Tech leadership team on communications and escalation of business-related issues/activities.

Does this sound like you?
  • You’ll have the ability to work under your own initiative and have excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • We are ideally looking for individuals who have a proven experience and knowledge of partnering with specific business units, for example store operations, but not essential.
  • You’ll have the ability to build a strong knowledge and understanding of our business needs.
  • You'll be motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes. 
  • Commercially aware, strategic & creative, you will be able to build solid, collaborative relationships with data and product teams, as well as agencies.
