The Role...
Full-time (39 hours per week) and Permanent

The role of Store Manager within Wickes is essential - this means the potential is high, as is the opportunity for growth. We expect that you’ll already be an experienced retail manager with a proven track record of bringing your team along with you. You'll be great at managing your workload and you’ll have the safety of others (including yourself!) at the forefront of your mind. You’ll be customer-centric, ensuring every customer has a great shopping experience and that you’ll come to work with a winning mindset. 
Some of your responsibilities will be as follows; 
  • Organising workloads
  • Coaching and mentoring your team to achieve the targets
  • Inspiring and motivating colleagues
  • Making sure promotions are up to date and the correct stock is available
  • Serving our customers ensuring they get the right products for their needs

About you...
We are looking for someone who is (or has been) an experienced store manager within a retail environment. A can-do spirit is essential in retail so this is a non-negotiable for us! We want candidates who understand the financial side of business - previous KPI exposure and working to targets is a must. We also want people who know how to recruit great team members - you spot potential and can coach & mentor individuals to bring that out.
