Sustainability Manager

Here at Wickes we are continuing to grow, and as a result are looking to recruit an ESG and Reporting Manager to help us implement and deliver our sustainability strategy.

This role is all about helping us to achieve our ESG/sustainability ambitions. It will support Wickes journey to a Net Zero business, and work with a variety of stakeholders and teams to deliver operational improvements, strong analytics, and great ESG reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of the iso14001 Environmental Management System across our support and distribution centres

• Work closely with our Health and Safety team to support EHS audits and reporting

• Support the property team in their analysis of estate opportunities

• Manage our environmental data sets including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions

• Support development of our Net Zero and Science based targets frameworks

• Support the end of year reporting process across all ESG/sustainability areas, as well as CDP and TCFD submissions

• Build business cases to support our sustainability programmes, with a focus on energy efficiency in stores and distribution

• Review and make recommendations on operational waste across the business to support our circular economy initiatives

• Support the Head of Sustainability to build and deliver our growing responsibly strategy

• Collaborate with colleagues across the whole business to drive ESG performance and reporting

What are we looking for:

• An energy and environmental data superstar

• Experience managing large amounts of excel and database data

• Experience with operational environmental management, preferably ISO14001

• Have a good understanding of managing a variety of waste streams

• Have a good working knowledge of environmental legislation, and key reporting frameworks like CDP, TCFD, and Greenhouse Gas reporting
