We are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance Department based in our Head Office in Watford.


This is an exciting opportunity which will involve supporting the commercial function and the rest of the Commercial Finance team with financial analysis, reporting and ad-hoc financial support. The commercial finance team provides support to the commercial, marketing and supply chain teams in the Wickes head office, as well as liaising closely with the wider Wickes Finance team. This role is predominantly focused on supporting the commercial department, analysing performance and supporting decision making.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Reporting - variety of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports

  • Management accounts - completing month end process (posting journals, investigating issues updating P&Ls), support to the Senior Finance Manager in producing the Commercial section of the Wickes Management Accounts

  • Financial system data maintenance and uploads

  • Financial analysis for major business initiatives where relevant

  • Ad-hoc financial analysis as required


What are we looking for:


  • A-Level science or mathematics based subjects (Essential)

  • Degree level qualification in science or mathematics based subjects (Preferred)

  • Part qualified Financial Accountant with 1-2 years Finance Analyst experience preferred

  • Hard working

  • Fast learner

  • Enthusiastic

  • Inquisitive

  • Proactive

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong data analysis and Excel/Google skills a must
