We are looking to recruit a Data Project Manager to join our Finance BI Reporting Team in our Support Centre in Watford.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing the data requirements for MI reporting, taking direction, and consulting with the wider business area, Tech team & other lead SME’s to provide specialised business knowledge and requirements for both existing and future systems; considering the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. They will also provide continued support for the development of the product until delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and represent the needs of our three main customer types, DIFM, Trade & DIY
Provide a detailed understanding of the current data processes / controls, systems, capabilities, requirements, its interactions upstream and downstream including any dependencies between systems
Understand the future Data Roadmap (i.e. target process outcomes) for each data process, and capable of interpreting these into functional / technical requirements which can be analysed and assessed against the options available in the technology market & competitors
Capture and articulate to the IT Program leadership and other SMEs data control improvements which should be targeted in the new systems and related processes, both programmed and operational, to improve the quality and effectiveness of the end to end data flows, and underpinning the outcomes required of a Public Company.
Work collaboratively with other lead SME’s and key stakeholders to represent Business Intelligence functional sets’ requirements across all relevant workstreams
Ensure consideration in design for simplicity, efficiency, improved customer experience and business growth in both system design and operational processes
Effective stakeholder management and communication
Support end user change management
What are we looking for:
Relevant professional or industry training including advanced SQL & Data Analysis
Broad understanding of end user needs in interacting systems outside your functional set
Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and follow through to completion on projects, requests and tasks
Previously worked as part of a team to deliver Tech or Finance Transformation projects
Detailed end user experience within transformation projects
Demonstrates a strong alignment to both internal and external customers incorporating detailed solutions within corporate strategy.
Implementation of business wide change, preferably within a Retail / Building Materials sectors
Good understanding of change management principles, techniques and tools
Ability to interrogate concepts and ideas with effective questioning to ensure understanding and clarity of direction
Ability to identify, engage and tailor communication to the relevant stakeholders
Highly articulate, personable and engaging
Understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
Remain focused and resilient for extended projects or in prolonged challenging experiences
