We are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to oversee our Distribution and Service Costs, for a period of 12 months to cover Maternity. This role will involve managing one Analyst and partnering with the Distribution, Installations and Customer Service teams, taking ownership of costs, month end, and budgeting.
Please note: This role will require the successful candidate to be in Northampton in our Distribution Centre once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Business partner to the Distribution, Installations & Customer Services teams providing financial analysis, support and challenge
Ownership of costs / month end relating to HDC/SDC/MCFC/CDS/Installations & Customer Services (non 3rd party Wincanton & Ascensos costs)
Ownership of budgeting/forecasting relating to HDC/SDC/MCFC/CDS/Installations & Customer Services (non 3rd party Wincanton & Ascensos costs)
Proactively working with Business Partners to improve knowledge, drive greater operational efficiency, and increase profitability
Providing insightful reporting to help shape and deliver strategies of the wider business
Complete weekly flash reporting where required to ensure appropriate actions are taken in a timely fashion
Driving a cost conscious and lean culture providing relevant ad-hoc analysis and insight to drive bottom line profit
Managing and developing one financial analyst
What are we looking for?
Recognised accountancy qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
Retail / FMCG experience
Ability to challenge , engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
Building and maintaining relationships with others to include key stakeholders and non-Finance team members
Strong communication skills
Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
Proven record of implementing and maintaining robust financial controls
High attention to detail and data accuracy
