Wickes is a digitally led, service enabled business currently undergoing extensive digital and data transformation and we’re looking for an Analytics superstar to join the team and help in leading this journey. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about interrogating data to deliver great insight and actionable recommendations. A collaborator by nature who is looking to work with a great team would be very welcome.
As Graduate Digital Analyst you'll sit within the Digital Marketing Team and be responsible for delivering customer analytics and data insight for the Marketing department. The role is extremely varied, with regular cross functional working with Trading, Digital Experience, Web Development, Commercial and Finance teams. You'll have the ability to bring to life digital and customer data reporting to help teams track and measure performance to drive lasting change. The role will report directly to the Analytics and Insight Manager, however you will often have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on specific analytics initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities
Supporting the production of regular weekly reporting to track and measure performance on our core KPIs across the Digital function (e.g. conversion, traffic, ATV performance)
Translating complex data into simple, meaningful insight based on business needs
Management of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts
Responsible for enhancing insights by merging web analytics data with additional data sources from all the different customer touch points (GA, Acquia Customer Data Platform)
Creating and producing relevant dashboards to communicate data and insight in a simple way using data visualisation tools such as Data Studio
Extract data via Google BigQuery to mine, analyse and present back findings to the business
Defining measurement framework for a brand new marketing analytics engine
Championing use of data and insight to make decisions across the wider team
Collaborate with the Insight & Analytics manager to deliver short/medium term customer data strategy
What we’re looking for
Ideally experience of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and other products within the Google Marketing Platform (GA360/ GA4/ Adobe Analytics)
Experience of using tag management solutions such as Google Tag Manager preferred. The ability to set up onsite tags and also third party tags, utilising custom javascript and regex when required. Understanding of a DataLayer.
Experience using data visualisation tools such as Data Studio, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
Knowledge of SQL, with experience using BigQuery, SAS or other tools.
Desired Skills & Expertise
A fundamental understanding of or interest in digital marketing programmes and technologies
Strong Excel skills to automate processes.
Experience working with third party data platforms e.g Statista, SimilarWeb preferred
Good stakeholder management – ability to build relationships and liaising with the business and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables and issues/risks.
Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
Retail experience is beneficial, but not essential
