Have you recently graduated and are you looking for a permanent position within a digital content role?  We’re looking for a Digital Content Editor to join our Marketing team. 


Wickes is a digitally led, service enabled business and we’re currently undergoing extensive digital transformation. We’ve created this new position for a skilled and enthusiastic Content Editor to join us and help in supporting our journey. 


You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations across the Digital Experience team including publishing imagery and video content, producing marketing copy, maintaining online promotions and building content pages via our CMS; ContentStack. 


A confident communicator and collaborative team player who is looking to work with a successful team would be very welcome.


You’ll sit with the Digital Experience Team reporting to the Content and Assets Manager. You’ll be required to work cross functionally with other teams in Digital, including the Digital Marketing & CRM and Trading teams, whilst working with other stakeholders in the Marketing function.  


What will you be doing?

  • Take ownership and day to day management of the CMS and maintaining and improving our CMS-based pages

  • Delivery of all business as usual (BAU) changes and online campaign launches 

  • Publishing and maintaining online content pages and identify improvements to existing content to drive traffic and engagement KPIs

  • Writing marketing copy for various channels with a key focus on SEO

  • Assisting in photographic and video production

  • Proofreading and identifying gaps in product data, working closely with commercial teams 

  • Writing and maintain functional requirement documents and guides

  • Creation of prototypes for stakeholder review and feedback 

  • Ensuring high quality graphic standards and brand consistency


What are we looking for?

  • Ideally some  experience doing similar work, this could be through your current role, internships or placement schemes 

  • Experience in using a content management system (proficiency in the use of the ContentStack CMS would be useful)

  • Experience of utilising project management tools such as Jira and Trello is preferred 

  • Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite and Photoshop

  • Understanding of layout aesthetics

  • Knowledge of SEO principles is preferred 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build up good relationships across a stakeholder group.
