The Role :

Are you an experienced and meticulous professional HGV class 1 driver with a passion for ensuring quality and compliance? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment?

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HGV class 1 Lead Risk Assessor to join our transport team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments of store yards, and evaluating their processes. You will play a crucial part in helping businesses identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and achieve their health and safety goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and conduct on-site store assessments.
A thorough understanding of H&S responsibilities.
Identify non-conformities, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to store management and teams.
Prepare detailed assessment reports, outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans.
Verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and thorough assessment records.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance assessment methodologies and store support.
Support other SME driver assessors.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience as a lead risk assessor within transport.
Class 1 licence and experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assessments simultaneously.
Proficiency in report writing and presentation skills.
Good PC skills including Google.
A relevant professional qualification in the related field.
Willingness to travel as required for on-site assessments.
