We are thrilled to announce we are recruiting a Junior Artworker to join our Studio Team in our Head Office in Watford for a period of 6 months. This role will focus on working with the Studio team and the Studio manager to assist in the day to day delivery of all Marketing materials for Wickes.
Key Accountabilities:
Assist the team in the artworking of printed POS, brochures, website and email assets. Ensuring consistency and accuracy across all assets that are created
Adapt existing templates, preparing, proofing and checking print ready artwork, ensuring it meets the brand guidelines and drives the Wickes brand forward
A good understanding of digital and print requirements and their role in ensuring that final print ready artwork files are delivered on time, and ready to go
An ability to work on a number of projects at any time, prioritise and deliver ‘right first time’ output
Working with Studio Co-Ordinator and brief owners to ensure feedback amends are met and received on time.
Organisation of personal workflow ensuring all assets are executed within timeline and scheduled while actively responding to fluctuating business workloads, raising workload concerns where needed.
Maintenance of file management to allow effective file location, back-up, archive and transfer
What are we looking for:
Graduate calibre
2+ Years in Junior Artworker role in a busy creative department
Print experience - understanding and knowledge of preparing artwork for print, along with the different printing processes
Good understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud and the programmes within it
Good working knowledge of InDesign, illustrator and photoshop
Skilled at creation of new artwork and assets and building them out to print ready artwork
Working and understanding with Brand Guidelines
Agency experience due to the fast paced nature of our Studio and number of briefs received
Experience of delivering retail focused creative
Print and digital experience
Excellent attention to detail able to deliver ‘right first time’ output
Organised, able to manage time efficiently
Able to work at pace to turn briefs around
Able to get to the root of feedback to quickly understand what needs to subsequently be done
Have a creative eye - able to understand how to build impactful creative
