As a designer you’ll assist the Studio Manager in the day to day delivery of marketing creative design for Wickes
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver campaign graphics and imagery for all marketing communication while pushing the boundaries for the brand.
Work closely with the Marketing Managers to deliver campaigns in line with the marketing strategy
Creating, preparing, proofing and checking print ready artwork of POS, brochures and digital assets across various formats
An ability to work on a number of projects at any time, prioritise and deliver ‘right first time’ output
Work with Studio Coordinator and brief owners to ensure briefs and feedback are delivered on time and drives the Wickes brand forward
A great understanding of digital and print requirements and their role in ensuring that final print ready artwork files are delivered on time, and ready to go
Maintenance of file management to allow effective file location, back-up, archive and transfer
What are we looking for:
Degree in design
Ideally 3+ years experience of working a busy creative department, retail experience being extremely advantageous
Expert in Adobe Suite.
Able to storyboard ideas to convey response to brief and flow the storyboards in to ideas
Skilled at creation of new artwork and assets and building them out to print ready artwork
Print experience - understanding and knowledge of preparing artwork for print, along with the different printing processes
Knowledge of dynamic creative tools.
Understanding of creative best practice across print and digital format
Keen creative eye, able to recognise how to drive engagement and look at ways to push the brand forward
Understand the results delivered through the creative, what works, what doesn’t and what we should do next time as a result of that.
Keen attention to detail, continually striving to deliver ‘right first time’ creative
Organised, able to manage time and project delivery
Able to get to the root of feedback to quickly understand what needs to subsequently be done
Passion for social media and marketing, constantly seeking out new creative ideas
Able to seize initiative
Multi-tasker, able to remain calm under the pressure of tight deadlines
Resilient, able to accept feedback and move forward
