We are recruiting for a Senior Finance Business Partner to become an integral part of the Operations Financial team, providing support to Divisional Directors and Regional Leaders as well as wider Operations and Finance teams.
This role is a vital component of the link between stores and Finance and will require excellent working relationships across Finance and Non Finance (i.e Store Manager, Regionals Leaders and Divisional Directors) and will require credibility / gravitas with its business partners.
The role will tend to be 1-2 days on the road for Divisional/Regional Meetings or visiting stores (some overnights may be required) whilst the remaining days will be from the Office/Home.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partner to the Divisional Directors (DDs) and Regional Leaders (RLs) - providing financial analysis, support and challenge
Conduct financial reviews with Divisional Directors (DDs) & Regional Leaders (RLs) and present financial updates at Divisional Meetings
Ownership of the c.230 Stores Budgeting process and ensure DD/RL signoff
Support wider business projects that impact on Store Operations Finance / Stores
Drive a cost conscious and lean culture into the Stores and identify opportunities to drive revenue/profit, implement change and measure output
Challenge Divisions/Regions that are not reaching expected targets
Assist with any ad hoc requests, queries or analysis, to help the smooth, efficient working of the Finance function
Leadership, recruitment and development of a team of 3 finance professionals ensuring appropriate resourcing, skillset and structure to deliver effective business support
What are we looking for:
Recognised accountancy qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
3+ years PQE experience
Retail / FMCG experience Business partnering at Director level
Ability to challenge , engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
Building and maintaining relationships with others to include key stakeholders and non-Finance team members
Strong communication skills
Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Proficiency in MS Office with good Excel skills
Enthusiastic, inquisitive and proactive
