Finance Data Analyst

We are excited to announce a new opportunity to join our Finance team as a Finance Data Analyst! This role, based in our Watford Support Centre, will be integral in ensuring data governance and data integrity across our data lake. The Finance Data Analyst will work closely with the BI Team to maintain one version of the truth and manage the administrative tasks of role profile data and new user requests. Additionally, this role will oversee data control checks and master data management. If you are passionate about data and have a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the standard reporting issued to the business - manage the regular reporting, and development of new regular reporting

  • Ensure and maintain the standards of accurate data (single version) through good control, processes and reporting

  • Security - Manage the processes for maintaining appropriate user level access to data sources

  • Adoc analysis to support the above accountabilities, investigating as required

  • Own the end to end process of manual uploaded master data to the data lake ensuring data integrity and data controls  as well as best practice is applied

  • Work collaboratively with the team on data analysis

What are we looking for:

  • Degree (or equivalent) education

  • Basic SQL & Data Analysis

  • Understanding of Data Table & Data Security

  • 1-2 yrs BI / data experience

  • Basic skills  with BI Tools

  • Ability to communicate IT data to business teams using layman's terms 

  • Understanding of data architecture & system processes

  • Confident communicator

  • Ability to work on own initiative but also a good team player

  • Understanding of data integrity, data quality issues, and end-to-end data flows

  • Exposure of using cloud data warehouse technologies and are confident working with large datasets (e.g. BigQuery)

  • Understand data security and management of data controls
