We are looking to recruit an E-Trading Coordinator to join our wider Commercial team. This is a brand new role for the business and its purpose is to advise and coordinate the adoption and support of supplier electronic engagement within the Wickes to maximise the effectiveness of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Key Accountabilities:
The role will need to build an understanding of Wickes systems and processes in order to facilitate set up and support ongoing operations of EDI
The role will require logical thinking and analytical skills to investigate issues with limited or ambiguous information, and to question and challenge in a professional manner the deliverables expected by the supplier and the business stakeholders.
Work with key stakeholders internally and externally (suppliers and 3rd Party vendors) to understand their EDI requirements and provide a considered solution ensuring it meets the business needs. Expectations will need to be understood and delivered against with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Coordinate the support of EDI interfaces between both business applications and suppliers
Support in flight projects to ensure eTrading requirements are being captured
Be the first port of call post EDI set up. Working with stakeholders and suppliers as required to coordinate problem solving and rectify issues as they arise.
What are we looking for:
Excellent ability to analyse logically and resolve problems independently
Experience with data interpretation and investigation
Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange solutions or experience working with a 3rd software service provider would be an advantage
Strong business acumen and concept of order processing flow
Superior customer service skills, preferably in a technical implementation capacity
Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into technical functional requirements and vice versa
Ability to understand and write technical documentation
Highly motivated, organised and methodical with an attention to detail
Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Highly proficient in IT systems - MS Applications
Experience with MS Office and data programs
Confidentiality and GDPR awareness
