About the Role: 

An opportunity has arisen to join the Operations team in a challenging role to manage night teams across various departments.  You will work with the existing Operations Managers closely, reporting directly into the AGM.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Ensuring all orders are picked accurately, packed adequately and dispatched on time.

  • To ensure compliance to procedures in all areas of responsibility

  • To provide leadership, coaching and direction to colleagues in all warehouse areas

  • Monitor the cost of site consumables, and ensure efficiency and availability of this key cost line.

  • To ensure that sales and profit targets are achieved together with the effective maintenance of operational standards in accordance with Company policies & procedures. 

  • To act as a catalyst in identifying opportunities to improve business performance through active reviews of current process and procedure.

  • To ensure that all orders generated from the Wickes website are fulfilled within the required time-scales, and the best standards and service levels. 

  • To ensure, store deliveries are completed OTIF by adhering to site H&S regulations.

  • Drive change within the operation, to further improve profitability and performance of the site.

  • P&L responsibilities and understanding, reportable to senior managers.

  • Providing support, guidance & performance management of the management team.

  • Able to confidently manage external relationships with contractors and visitors on site and maintain key operational and customer service standards at all times.

The purpose of the Warehouse Operative will be to carry out a range of warehouse duties as may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or member of the management team for the effective and safe operation of the Warehouse facility.
