We're looking for a Transformation Project Manager to join our estate transformation team and support our Head of DIY Proposition to plan & coordinate transformation projects and implementation workstreams. 


Role purpose and accountabilities 

  • Work with project/workstream team members to to build project RACIs and make sure the critical path analysis (CPA) runs as planned

  • Maintain and update the project management documents and trackers

  •  Update key stakeholders of changes to the programme and manage any risks that arise as a result of changes

  • Facilitate meetings by preparing agendas and trackers, capturing next steps and ensuring follow through on actions

  • Maintain the key documents for planning, doing and reviewing the projects

  • Organise and facilitate the project meeting schedule and ensure follow through of actions 

  • Provide weekly project updates

  • Maintain key databases of store information for project management

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and address performance opportunities and issues

  • Work alongside external project managers & contractors during the planning & delivery phases of store implementation activities 

  • Liaise with the key functional teams; Operations, Commercial, Product Supply, Logistics, Marketing & IT, assessing risks and proactively resolving them

  • Take responsibility for specific project related design & development activities as required 

  • Support BH in the design & activation of processes and proposition development activities that help deliver transformational business growth 


What are we looking for:

  • Project Management experience and experience within a retail environment, ideally stores as well as a support centre

  • DIY and home improvement experience would be a real benefit

  • Experience of cross functional working with different groups of stakeholders 

  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and Google Docs with accurate typing skills 

  • Organised, with good attention to detail

  • Numerate and analytical

  • Good interpersonal skills using discretion when required   

  • Ability to achieve results through others by asking the right questions, in the right way

  • Confidence to work with all levels and all functions in the business

  • Curious & resilient - able to ask questions about the impact of new developments 

  • Able to take on new information and understand the impacts and interdependencies within the project

  • Able to work at pace and be flexible to changing demands
