We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Trade B2B Marketing & Partnerships Manager to our team.  You’ll manage all elements of the marketing mix for Wickes TradePro, our industry leading trade loyalty scheme. From sponsorships and advertising to developing new relationships with key clients, federations and other businesses.

You’ll be someone who can communicate and engage all levels of the business internally and to existing and prospective client organisations. You’ll have experience of working within a B2B account, client/ sales environment while managing expectations to deliver successful marketing activities. A confident, clear communicator and collaborative team player who is looking to work within a great team.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Accountable for delivering quality sign ups to Wickes TradePro through creating multi layered online and offline communications plans.  Lead communication planning for TradePro events ensuring all channels and clients are set up to deliver a successful and aligned campaign. Monitor sign up numbers to ensure we’re hitting targets, flex and change the comms strategy when needed. 

  • Develop, own and manage all communications for Wickes TradePro Contract Services. Working with external clients to execute tailored comms to their membership bases, to drive both sign ups and sales. As well as working with existing clients you’ll support in onboarding new clients and also at pitch stage. 

  • Own the partnership strategy and activity for Wickes TradePro collaborating with agencies and partners directly to develop and execute award winning sponsorships. Ensuring our inventory is delivered on time and inline with the wider business strategy and holding our agencies to account. 

  • Working closely with the Marketing Insight and Commercial teams create a clear view of all TradePro signups, spending and general performance. Share information and course correct as required across Wickes TradePro nationally and locally. 

  • As the brand guardian for both the Wickes TradePro and Wickes TradePro Contract Services brands you will build creative toolkits and develop brand guidelines to help drive consistent usage of the brands internally, externally and by clients when communicating to their members. 

  • Have an in-depth understanding of our trading plan, products and promotional calendar, working with commercial category managers and the trade planning team. Become confident in talking about and briefing stakeholders on the trading and promotional plan. 

  • Develop cross functional relationships to aid alignment, communication and collaboration. Working with: commercial category teams, trade planning, TradePro CRM Manager, Customer Data Manager, Contract Services National Account Manager, the studio and DIY advertising and sponsorship team.

  • Own and manage the production, activation and media budgets for TradePro communications to ensure that spend is within agreed parameters. Ensure timely approval of creative and ensure POs and invoices are approved so suppliers are paid on time

What we’re  looking for a candidate:

  • Ideally of graduate calibre

  • Significant experience in marketing or agency or strong experience in a B2B, account, client/sales role

  • Experienced in leading multiple agencies and partners in the development and production of ATL & BTL creative

  • Excellent client management, stakeholder and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships

  • Experienced in budget management and accountability 

  • Experienced in managing multiple projects ensuring cross functional buy-in and senior leadership sign off

  • Confident at creating and delivering client facing presentations 

  • Decisive in strategy formulation with creative thinking and problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of Full TTL comms mix and budget management as well as research and Econometrics
